Many LCD and LCOS based front projectors utilize an X-Cube based architecture. The polarization states of the colors exiting from these projectors are typically mixed. Most common is Rs, Gp and Bs. ColorSelect® filters are used to restore such mixed output to a single polarization state. This is a required step before the projected images are converted to circularly polarized light. Magenta/Green filters are typically required. These filters can be combined with Circular Polarization filters in a single unit.
